Counselling

There are many different models of counselling. My training is Humanistic/ integrative Counselling which means I can work with your uniqueness in a caring, supportive and non-judgemental way. I am trained to work with adults, children from aged 8 years and young people. I can work with you face to face, via Google Meet video and on the phone.

I realise that as people we are all different and integrative counselling allows me to work with you in such a way to meet your individual needs. For example, I am able to integrate ideas and philosophies from counselling models such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Transactional Analysis (TA) and outcome focused therapy.

I can work with you on long or short term issues. In short term work I am able to use my skills to encourage a focus on your aims and objectives with regular reviews and working towards realistic goals.

Within a therapeutic relationship I aim to patiently support and guide you through the counselling process towards finding what you are looking for and fulfilling your potential.

"During counselling with Maggie I learnt skills to help me cope better on my own. Maggie's kindness and the therapeutic relationship between us really helped me. She is very empathic. Now, if I need support I ask myself "What would Maggie say?"  A young adult client
